Whats a good MMO to play other than World of Warcraft?

I would like to play an MMO but I can't find a good one which isn't WoW. Also I have tried Age of Conan and Warhammer Online but they didn't really appeal to me.Whats a good MMO to play other than World of Warcraft?
This really all depends upon what you're looking for in an MMO.



Since World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, and Warhammer Online have already failed I'm going to presume you're not filling some void you are seeking.



If you are looking for a more professional, "serious" MMO, your best bet is likely with Final Fantasy XI (though it has highly diminished since it's pre-WoW days). It has a very dedicated and mature community base.



If you're looking something more "light" and perhaps not as time consuming (ironic coming from an MMO point of view) I'd recommend trying some free based games to search what you're looking for. Maple Story comes to mind.



If you cannot pinpoint exactly what was missing from the MMO's you have so chosen; perhaps it merely isn't your field. The games you have already played are considered the best in their genre.Whats a good MMO to play other than World of Warcraft?
