Lord of the Rings Online or Warhammer online?

Lately i have had a problem finding an MMO for me. When i started,I played WoW, which has been pretty good, and i have played on and off due to friends, but just hasn't gotten me hooked, like many of my friends, one of which is addicted. Then, i tried playing Guild Wars, which is also very good, but once you hit the story ends for all of the campaigns, there's nothing else to do.

Finally, i have decided to try and move in a different direction since i have been going back and forth between the WoW and Guild Wars and they have gotten boring. 2 games that have caught my eye are Lord of the Rings Online and Warhammer Online, but i have found it hard deciding.

I have enjoyed what i have seen from Lord of the Rings Online, mainly because i enjoy the Lord of the Rings and its seems to follow the lore well and also because it seems very casual.

Warhammer Online has also caught my eye due to is recent release and recognition from many places. It seems like a very enjoyable game, but concerning me because of it looking like WoW.

I would try trials of either games, however my computer finally died and a new one was ordered during the holidays, so it will take awhile to get here and i would like to have the decision on a new game before it gets here.

All i want to do is find an MMO that is good and not too much like WoW, has a good story to it, can have casual play, and great playability so i can continue playing. So help me decide if you can, thanks!Lord of the Rings Online or Warhammer online?
I've played both of these games. I stuck with Lord of the Rings Online.

You're right...the graphics in Warhammer are very similar to the cartoony graphics in WoW. Plus...it's mainly PvP stuff. This is great if you're into that and only into that but if you're into adventuring more LOTRO is where it's at.

I've also played Guild Wars. One of the things I liked about it is that once you've paid to play...you're done. Although...that can be disputed with each expansion that they tack on. LOTRO has an option where you can pay for a lifetime membership once and not have to pay anymore money.

Here's the thing about Lord of the Rings Online; There's racial development, class development, trait development, crafting development, book development(if you want to follow the story line), lots of racial choices, lots of class choices AND they have their own unique version of player versus player that is actually player versus monster. So you could be an orc, spider, warg...and then different classes of orc.

I really like guild wars...when they come out with Guild Wars 2 I am seriously considering playing it. But, you're right...once you get past the campaigns if you're not about redundant PvP all the time, it gets old. I can only have so many halloween and christmas masks before I decide to lose it.

Happy gaming whatever you choose!Lord of the Rings Online or Warhammer online?
Warhammer. My friend has it and it's awesome.
