It is true that a Warhammer 40k MMO is in development by THQ (with the work being undertaken by Virgil Games. The news was announced in 2007 and the release can be seen here:

Since then, nothing official has been said and absolutely nothing in terms of content has been released. However, the runaway success of the WAR launch should give gamers confidence that the project is still underway and the relationship between THQ and GW seems set to continue as a profitable venture for both partners.
Allegedly. I've seen an article, but very little else about it. I would wait until there is an official site, and official releases to believe that it's anything more than a rumor. And I'd wait until there's a PUBLIC beta to believe it's more than vaporware.Is there really a warhammer 40k MMO coming out?

Vigil games is making it i believe. They created a site, but haven't updated it in awhile. I have heard that it is still a few years out. The debate still rages over a MMOFPS or an MMORPG style game.
